Egremont is a Fairtrade town and the Fairtrade Campaign group also promotes producers and sellers of local produce and this is reflected in the range of shops in this attractive small market town. The town has a great range of shops from fresh local meat (including two distinctive varieties of traditional Cumberland sausage from the two butchers and flowers, fruit and vegetables and other delicious treats at Jenkinsons, to a traditional hardmongers in South Street, Fairtrade and everyday groceries at the Co-op to ice cream from the Hartley's Factory Shop and much more besides.
