Invest Egremont The Egremont Regeneration Partnership is responsible for undertaking many improvement projects in the area. Current projects at the castle include a demountable pavilion for events and evening Illumination in the grounds. Both schemes are part of Egremont's regeneration strategy to display the castle as a central feature in the development of the area. In 2009 Creative Egrmeont has been awarded the Market Town Award for a cultural and environmental project in the Northwest. From public sculpture by Jeremy Deller and Alan Kane and the Folk Float, currently on a tour of service looking at the regeneration of Kings Cross, to ambitious plans to create a digital arts hub at Florence Mine a forner haematite pit on the fringe of Egremont, follow this link to see what is happening.

Egremont Pavilion Project
The winners of the Pavilion project, Decosterd-Cotting Architects of Lausanne with Guscetti-Tournier Engineers from Geneva in Switzerland, delivered a model of the final build.

The site will benefit from up-lighters in the grounds and include an image projection onto the North Side of the main castle wall. These projections will act as a backdrop to events and productions in the pavilion..
Creative Egremont began in 2006 when the Egremont & Area Regeneration Partnership approached Grizedale Arts (an innovative contemporary arts agency based near Coniston) to rethink how the arts could directly improve the life of Egremont and its surrounding areas.
